The staff and management of FlavaMen magazine isn't concerned by the fact that front man for R&B quartet Pretty Ricky, is gay or straight. All they know is that they are truly interested in offering Pretty Ricky $ 100,000.00 to pose nude in their Flava Works magazine. The idea comes off of the first video Pretty Ricky did on youtube to promote their new single early last month. Now, Pretty Ricky, after all of the hype of the first video, has just released his second video on youtube grinding away in black boxer shorts.

Yes Black boxer shorts. Needless to say, he is showing all of his business for everyone to see.
“The company has secured and confirmed private investors to provide [Spectacular] with $100,000 in compensation for a photo spread featuring him as the magazine’s cover model,” a FlavaMen statement noted Friday.
The offer was set in motion in late May when, in an attempt to drum up buzz for Pretty Ricky’s upcoming single “Tipsy,” Spectacular posted on YouTube a video of him grinding to the tune — wearing only skimpy red briefs. The video, entitled “Strip with Spectacular,” also challenged other young R&B artists including Trey Songz, Day26, Chris Brown and Omarion to prove they could do better. The scandalous clip went viral almost immediately, prompting questions about Spectacular’s sexuality.

Spectacular quickly affirmed his heterosexuality, telling a Chicago radio station the suggestive video was “for the ladies” and he performed in the almost-buff in order to show off his “spectacular” body. This could however, back fire on Flava Works Magazine since the R & B performer has strictly stated that he is not interested in gay men watching his video.
If you recall other R & B performers such as Tyrese, have tried to isolate their audience base by slamming gay and lesbian consumers by saying they are not wanted at their concerts. I would hope that Flava Works keeps that in mind with approaching Spectacular's representatives. Gay people of the 21st century are not about to spend money on people who are homophobic. Those days of feeling that gay men need heterosexual men to gaze at are over.
Flava Works Films has made a solid reputation for finding and using excellent African-American performers for the gay audience and maybe they should keep their programming of new models the same.

Going after heterosexual men does not turn on gay men at all in the 21st century. There are gay and lesbian singers who are attempting to break into the manistream music industry and yes, there are African-American gay R & B singers that might be willing to do a publicity campaign with Flava Works films.
That might be an area that Flava Works might look at before shelling out $ 100,000.00 on a singer that has no interest in supporting the Gay Community. Flava Works Chief Executive Officer Phillip Bleicher added, “I would love to have Spectacular do a spread. He would be the first male celebrity to do so. That would be history.” Maybe or....maybe not!
Here is the video to the latest version of heterosexual performer Spectacular that he has just posted on YouTube.com. If you are interested, click the link, if not, we completely understand.
