Multi Award winning producer and actor Michael Lucas has filed suit seeking to stop the file-sharing of the hit release which hit the No.4 position on the JRL Weekly Top 100, Missing [2010], because it is now being streamed online illegally.

The gay suspense thriller filmed on location in Barcelona features Michael Lucas, Jonathan Agassi, Diego Cruz, Pavlvs Guell, Ivan Rueda, Carlos Caballero, Jean Franko, Bruno Jones, and Sergio Serrano.

Lucas Entertainment's suit targets 65 John Doe defendants and was filed at the U.S. District Court in Dallas last Saturday July 17, 2010, alleging that the individuals initiated their infringement on bit torrent site www.gay-torrents.net.

Lucas' attorney, Evan Stone, Esq based in Dallas, stated in his complaint that he is hopeful that the IP addresses used in the bit torrent application will lead to the identification of each defendant’s true name through discovery.

"Plaintiff further believes that the information obtained in discovery will lead to the identification of additional infringing parties to be added to this complaint as defendants, since monitoring of online infringement of plaintiff’s motion picture is ongoing," he said.

Lucas Entertainment is also seeking an injunction against the defendants, as well as damages and attorneys fees. Missing [2010] was released in May of 2010 and is a major success in retail outlets nationwide.

In fact, according to the JRL charts department, Missing [2010] will capture a huge MAJOR GAIN on the JRL Weekly Top 100 this Friday.

The storyline centers around the kidnapping of a young traveler (Cruz) and the lengths his friends (Agassi and Lucas) must go through to get him back.

When Missing [2010] was first released, Lucas stated that the shoot was "nothing we have done before overseas.”

“We chased our guys down dark alleys, kidnapped them, threw them in freezing water during the middle of winter and in the end they fucked harder than ever," he said. "I was amazed with the intensity that these guys delivered!”

Michael Lucas, in discussing the suit with XBIZ.com, stated that he had decided to take a "more forceful approach with these sites and their users" rather than a passive one.

"You only have to put Lucas Entertainment on a Google Alert to see the rampant piracy all over the Internet," he said. "I am always surprised that users would deal with torrent site and all the hassle that requires instead of streaming through LucasEntertainment.com, but I guess there are many people out there who have endless patience. "Many sites are responsive and take down content once notified of a copyright violation but some are not," stated Lucas.

Michael Lucas and Lucas Entertainment have captured gay and heterosexual consumers for years and pirates have to be made aware that major brand studios will be targeting them just as the Music Industry is continuing to target consumers and businesses who practice in the profiteering of pirated material.
