Police Hunt For Hamilton Book and Video Robbery Suspect

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY – Poughkeepsie investigators are continuing to look for clues and tips to find the man who robbed an adult bookstore at gunpoint this past weekend.

With the economy continuing to force people to do hardcore crimes to acquire cash, the Adult retail industry has been a major victim of these types of crimes for the past two years.

The incident occurred at the Hamilton Book and Video Adult bookstore located at 216 N Hamilton Street on Saturday April 21 around 9:25 p.m. The man stole between $40 to $100 in cash from the register, said city police Detective Sgt. Matt Clark.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned black man, about 20- to 25 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall, who was wearing black clothing and a red scar covering his is face from the nose down, Clark said.
