RICHMOND TOWNSHIP, MI – One of the leading adult video stores in Richmond Township was robbed at gun point yesterday morning.

Fleetwood Police Chief Steve Stinsky confirmed to JRL CHARTS that officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Cupids Treasures Adult Bookstore around 10:40 a.m. on Monday April 23 on Route 222.

Officers were on the scene within one minute of the call but the armed gunmen had already fled the scene, said Chief Stinsky.

“The investigation determined that two black males brandished a hand gun and demanded money,” said Stinsky. “The clerk provided an undisclosed amount of money and they fled.”

Chief Stinsky told JRL CHARTS that two men, who were wearing ski masks and gloves, demanded money from the desk attendant and left after receiving an undisclosed amount of money.  The clerk on duty called police but could not provide a description of the robbers or their vehicle.

Luckily there were no injuries. Investigation continues.  Anyone with information is asked to contact Fleetwood Borough Police Department at 610-944-7011 or call Crime Alert Berks at 1-877-373-9913.
